Thank you for joining us on Thursday, May 26 for the RESILIENT SIDNEY OPEN HOUSE! Participants had the opportunity to learn about a wide range of Resilient Sidney initiatives to help the Village adapt to change and meet challenges with resilience, as well as proposed projects that emerged from the community-wide visioning process in 2021-2022 and about upcoming opportunities to pursue funding for Village initiatives.

We heard many positive comments about the conceptual designs that have emerged from your input over the past months. We look forward to gathering additional input on how you feel the Village should prioritize the different riverfront projects. Take the latest Resilient Sidney survey on priority projects here.

Thanks to everyone who turned out for the second community workshop on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 to contribute ideas for resilient recreational and open space uses along Sidney's riverfront. These ideas, along with extensive community input from the first workshop in November, January focus groups and Resilient Sidney surveys, will continue to shape the design for publicly owned lands along Sidney's Susquehanna River. We look forward to meeting with you again around late February to review the Envision Sidney's Resilient Riverfront Strategy, including conceptual designs that have emerged from all of your input.

On November 11, 2021 an online community visioning workshop was held to HELP ENVISION SIDNEY'S RESILIENT RIVERFRONT. Many thanks to those who participated! The Village reviewed community input from surveys and participants brainstormed ideas for Sidney's publicly owned riverfront land.

If you would like to visit the Village's acquired open space along the Susequehanna riverfront, we have developed a suggested touring route that you can complete by car or by foot. Please view open space from the road, sidewalk, parking area or trail.
